Funding
The department offers funding to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders through the National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Program.
The funds are intended to support projects that:
- enhance the participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the general community in NAIDOC Week activities;
- raise the awareness and understanding in the general community of the significance of NAIDOC to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; and
- enhance the process of reconciliation with the Queensland community.
